A textile manufacturer that is creating new value and changing the future of life with its 80 years of technological and developmental capabilities.

Hygiene products, nursing care products, and other textile and nonwoven fabric products that are essential in daily life. In the synthetic fiber business, we contribute to various industries with next-generation products such as environmentally friendly materials and functional materials that meet market needs, through a system that is integrated from raw material procurement to development, manufacturing, and sales. We continue to pursue new value in textiles and nonwoven fabrics to meet global demand, especially in East Asia.

Introducing biodegradable fiber and rayon nonwoven fabric products that are great at reducing environmental impact

We develop and market a variety of products to reduce environmental impact, including the biodegradable fiber miracle fiber KK-PL, which contains 75% biomass, and the rayon nonwoven fabric Apitas E, which is highly biodegradable in the ocean. They are provided as sustainable materials for the cosmetic and sanitary product fields.

Developing eco-friendly products in response to sustainability trends in the nonwoven fabric market

In response to the growing trend toward sustainability in the nonwoven fabric market, we have developed a wide range of environmentally friendly and functional materials, including the biomass mark and FSC-certified rayon spunlace nonwoven fabric Apitas B, to support the future of society.

Raw materials procurement and production system pursuing traceability

We develop products with established traceability by procuring safe raw materials from reliable suppliers that are less harmful to people and the environment, such as Apitas C, which uses U.S. cotton that has acquired the COTTON USA mark as certified by Cotton Council International, and FSC-certified products ensuring proper forest management. We also strive for internal traceability, and have developed an integrated in-house system that extends from textiles to finished products.

Reinforcing fiber for concrete that naturally self-heales cracks

In general, cracking of cement materials are caused by strong stress, change of dry temperature, and change of cubic volume due to dry condition.
This cracking causes not only damaging good appearance of cement but also lots of problems, such as leaking water from cracking part, decreasing section by corrosion of inside reinforcing steel bar, and less durability of structure.
By using Mercury C as fiber composite of FRCC (Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composites), calcium carbonate that is raw material of cement can be easily deposited to close cracking parts. It is a solution for cracking in the future.
